Being on my best behavior last night was too much. This morning I decided that I would be a total termagant. Yesterday there were two time changes. We went from Central Daylight Time to Arizona which does do daylight time so it seems like Pacific Daylight Time (2 hours earlier than Central). Well, I am not good with clocks so I got up at 4:22. Then I decided that EVERYONE should stay up. I have been chewing everything cause my mouth is sore from teething. Everyone is unhappy about not getting much sleep but me. Since I was sleeping while they were talking with Gary and LaVonne last night. It isn’t my fault they don’t know when to go to sleep.

Today I weigh 38.5 pounds and measure 20″ at the shoulder.  Since I like cameras, new photos are getting added to the Photo Gallery.

More Travel

Well, I am beginning to adjust to traveling in a motorhome.  I still don’t like getting in and out.  The steps are way to tall for me to climb so Michael has to carry me up and down the steps.  I am really not that big on being carried around so it is not my favorite thing.

This morning I woke up in Texas and by noon I was in New Mexico.  Now I am in Arizona.  That is a lot of traveling for someone who had never been out of Texas before.

I got to visit Gary and LaVonne tonight.  They have a BIG cat named Lucy.  I barked at Lucy but we got along OK since we were in different rooms most of the time.

My Life Changed

For the several days, everyone has been running around putting stuff into a big motorhome in the driveway.  Today they started it up, carried me up into it, and BAMM!! we left heading west.  I stayed in my kennel (XL Petmate) most of the trip.  When we stopped for lunch everything was different.  Where is my house?  Where is my yard?  Where is the GRASS!!!!!!  There is nothing but dirt out there.  We finally pulled into an RV Park in Van Horn (where ever that is).  Dirt, dirt, dirt, as far as the eye can see and no lake!  What happened to Lake Travis?  Where is my lake.

This could be weird but I am trying to be good and adapt to the new sights and sounds but so far, I like the old ones better.

Another Good Night

I’m getting good at this.  I slept through the night again without having to be taken out.  Michael and Georgia are REALLY happy about that.  I got 2 Nylabones to replace the 1 I misplaced.  They are great but I think I still prefer cardboard boxes.

Got an email shout out from Abbey, a one year old Irish Wolfhound.  We are going to be great pen-pals.  Abbey lives in New York state.  Hey Abbey!!

NEWS FLASH

I actually slept through the night!!!  I briefly woke up a few times but I didn’t have to go outside badly enough to wake up Michael and Georgia for about 8 hours.  They said I was a really good boy for doing that.  Now don’t think that this will be my new routine but I like to pleasantly surprise everyone from time to time.

Busy Day

Yesterday, I not only went for a short walk and played in the yard, I got to go to the storeroom and explore new things.  Michael and Georgia brought back another X-Pen and a long leash.  Don’t know why they would think I need a leash but they put it on me when ever we are outside of the fenced yard.  I am eating more, running more and growing!  I am now 19″ tall at the shoulder.  Michael doesn’t like weighing me.  He says I squirm around too much when he picks me up and holds me when we get on the scale.

Did I mention that I love to chew.  Well I HAD a nylabone.  I guess I did a good job of hiding it because Michael and Georgia can’t find it and it is WAY too big to swallow.  Oh well, I know they will get me another one (or two hint, hint).  Whatever it takes to keep me happy!!

Wellness Checkup

This going the vet thing is getting old.  A week and a half ago the breeder, Brenda, took me to the vet for shots (boo).  Then this week Michael and Georgia took me to a different vet for a well puppy checkup.  At least I didn’t have to get any more shots.  They sent some of my poo to the lab and they said everything was great, but then I already knew that.  Everything about me is great!!

They said I weighed about 34.9 pounds and was 18″ tall at the shoulders.  That’s pretty good for an 11 week old.

Since my last post, Michael has started uploading photos of me to the Photos page.  I hope you enjoy them.

I am getting into a routine around the house.  I still get everyone up once during the night to take me outside to do my duty.  I spend each night in my 2’x4′ kennel in the master bedroom but still don’t like it very much.  Michael thinks letting me roam around the house unsupervised is asking for trouble.  Other than chewing everything in site and going to the bathroom in the house, I can’t imagine what he is talking about.

I found a cardboard box in Michael’s study that is so much fun to chew.  I will ask him to post a photo for your enjoyment.  I also found that the bark in the flower beds is a wonderful way to get the needed fiber in your diet (to say nothing of how good it feels on my gums since I am cutting teeth.

Welcome to my world

I am glad you found me.  I am an 11 week old Irish Wolfhound puppy.  I was born January 27, 2012 in Collinsville, Texas at Taryn Irish Wolfhounds.  Gary and Brenda did a great job of helping my parents, Carnasserie Lodestone of Taryn (Stone) and Taryn Waltz Across Texas (Waltz), take care of me until I was able to go home with Michael and Georgia.  I now live in Austin, Texas.  Some have asked: What does an Irish Wolfhound puppy like to do?  The answer is easy: I like to sleep, eat and play but most of all, I like to chew.  I am teething and everything looks like a chew toy to me.

I will have Michael post photos of me and I will keep you up-to-date on what is happening in my world.
